| In the world of Dragon Warrior II, Lotteries are scattered throughout the land. Here is a list of all Lottery locations: | |||

| You must obtain a Lottery Ticket in order to play the Lottery. You can not buy a Lottery Ticket anywhere, but there are several ways in which they can be obtained. Here are some ways to get one. | |||
| Item shop merchants will often give you a Lottery Ticket when you make a purchase. | |||
| Many monsters leave behind Lottery Tickets when defeated. | |||
| If you match 2 of 3 symbols while playing the Lottery, you receive a Lottery Ticket as a consolation prize. | |||
| How to Play: | |||
| Go to the counter and speak to the person behind it. They will ask you if you want to play the Lottery. Tell them yes and if you have a Lottery Ticket they will ask you if you want to know how to play. If you answer yes again, the person will give a brief description of the game before the Lottery begins. Answer no and the Lottery will begin immediately. Three symbols will appear in the text box. Press the A button and the symbols in each column will begin to roll, each one changing to another symbol, similar to a slot machine. Press the A button to stop each column starting with the one on the left. If you match all three symbols, you will win a prize. Match 2 out of 3 and your consolation prize will be a Lottery Ticket. Match none and you will be a big loser! | |||

| The Symbols appear in a prescribed order, but the starting point for each column is random. For example, Column one may start on one of the Moon Crest Symbols one time and on one of the Stars Crest Symbols the next. This is the only section which might help you do better, since you’ll know which symbol will appear next, but as I said before I don’t guarantee anything. Here is the order in which the Symbols appear for each column, from top to bottom and then starting again at the top in a continuous loop. | |||

| I hope this enhances your Dragon Warrior II game playing experience. If you want to cheat and win more consistently and you are playing the rom on NESticle, turn down the FPS to 5 or less. This causes the game to move really, really slow, but you can see the symbols much better. (This is what I did to get all of the information for this guide.)
