Warrior III

|
| Aliahan
(Level 1) |
|
| It
is your 16th birthday. Your mother takes you to meet the king, so
you may follow in the footsteps of your father, Ortega, a hero of
Aliahan. After praising your father, the king gives you 50 gold and
tells you of the Archfiend Baramos. First, you should speak with the
people in the castle, then visit Luisa's place, an eatery just north of
your house. Here you will recruit additional members for your
group. The default characters are a soldier, a pilgrim, and a
wizard. You can add additional characters to this list of potential
party members by going upstairs. The classes are: |
|
Soldier - Can equip almost any weapon or armor, HP grows rapidly, doesn't
learn magic. |
|
Pilgrim - Main function is to heal your group from any illness. A
well rounded character. |
|
Wizard - Learns several attack spells. Low, HP, but this deficiency
is made up by powerful magic. |
|
Fighter - Martial Arts expert. Limited on choice of weapons and
armor. Golden Claw is best weapon. |
|
Merchant - Has the ability to appraise items. Finds extra
gold. |
|
Goof-off - Luck increases rapidly. |
| Once your group is
ready, raise your levels by fighting slimes and Black Ravens around
Aliahan. When you need to recover HP/MP, you can stay for free at
your house. |
|

doors), you'll need it to open the travel door that connects Aliahan with
the rest of the world. |

The thief lives in the Tower of Shanpane. But first, you should free
some sleeping villagers . . . |
|
| Kanave (Level 11)
north of Romaly |
|
| Enter Kanave's item
shop at night to obtain a poison needle and club from the treasure chests. |
|
| Noaniels (Level
12) north of Kanave |
|
| The entire village
is asleep, with the exception of an old man who lives in the southwest
corner of the town. He mentions something about returning the Dream
Ruby to some elves, so the curse on the village can be broken. |
|

|
|

Crown to take to the King of Romaly. |
|
| Romaly (Level 14) |
|
| The king will thank
you for returning the crown, then proclaim you the new ruler. When
you tire of ruling, visit the casino to talk to the former king. |
|
| Assaram
(Level 14) southeast of Romaly |
|
| At night, Assaram's
theater, secret weapon shop, and 'fortune teller' are open for
business. An old man who lives in a nearby swamp next to the desert
knows about the Magic Key. |
|
| Isis (Level 15)
southwest of Assaram |
|
| The Meteorite
Armband is hidden under the Castle of Isis. Use it to have it
equipped. The pyramid holds the Magic Key, royal grave of pharaoh.
Magic spells won't work in certain areas, so bring many medical herbs, and
make several trips to get all the pyramid has to offer. |

|
| This kingdom is
known for its shipbuilding talents. Go see the king, who gives you a
scroll Norud. After you bring some black pepper to the king, he'll
give you a ship. The treasury contains: Spider's Web, Vitality Seed,
88 Gold. |
|
| The Cave of Norud

the treasure chests to find a Club and a Training Suit. |
|
| Baharata (Level
18) southeast of the exit of The Cave of Norud |
|
| When you arrive in
Baharata, you learn that the black pepper shop is closed because of a
recent kidnapping. Talk to all the villagers, then visit the cave. |

HP: 400 |
HP: 60, 60 |
|
| Return to Baharata,
get the black pepper, and take it to the King of Portoga. Now that
you have a ship, you can travel almost anywhere. The following areas
may be completed in almost any order: |
|
| Lancel (Level 19)
southeast of Portoga, west of Aliahan; due south of Baharata |
|
| You will want to buy
at least one invisibility herb from the item shop. The nearby cave
is called the Navel of the Earth. You won't be able to visit it
until later. |
|
| Eginbear (Level
19) north of Portoga |
|
| Use the invisibility
herb from Lancel to sneak past the guard, who doesn't like you just
because of how you look! In the castle basement, push the three
boulders onto the blue-and-white carpet. This will open a secret
passage to a treasure chest which contains the Vase of Drought. |
|
| The Shoals (Level
20) south of Aliahan |
|
| You may want to
recruit a merchant before you leave Aliahan, but be sure it's someone you
don't mind losing in the near future. Sail south until you reach the
shoals, and use the Vase of Drought. Enter the shrine, and obtain
the Final Key from the treasure chest. |
|
| The Shrine South
of Portoga (Level 19) |
|
| There isn't much
here, just talk to the guy who lives here to find out more about the orbs. |
|
| Tedanki (Level
19) south of Portoga |
|
| The village is empty
during the day. You can reach it by sailing upstream of the first
navigable river you find (no bridges). Get the Lamp of Darkness from
the weapon shop, and the Green Orb from the person in the jail. |
|
| The Field (Level
19) northeast of Portoga |
|
| This is where you'll
need that merchant. If they're dead, you'll need to revive them or
else it's useless to be here. Speak to the old man, who tells you he
wants to start a town, but needs a merchant to run the shops. The
merchant you leave will remain here for the rest of the game, so choose
wisely if you have more than one merchant. |
|
| The Village of
the Soo (Level 19) west of The Field |
|
| You'll need to sail
up the complex river system to reach this town. If you stay near the
center of all the rivers, you should have no trouble finding the
village. It's next to three lakes. Search around the village
well to find the Staff of Thunder. |
|
| The House of
Pirates (Level 21) south of The New Town (The Field) |
|
| Search under the
boulder on the east side to find a hidden staircase. Open the three
treasure chests to find the Red Orb, a Strength Seed, and a Wing of
Wyvern. |
|
| The Forgotten
Island of Luzami (Level 23) southeast of Aliahan |
|
| Search the graveyard
to find an Intelligence Seed. |
|
| The Shrine of
Dhama (Level 20) northeast of Baharata |
|
| You can change the
class of any party member (except the hero) here. An additional
character class is available for the one who possesses the Book of Satori: |
|
Sage - Learns both Pilgrim and Wizard spells. Can also equip
better weapons and armor than the Wizard. |

Popota that the real Papagatero made. |
|
| Greenlad (Level
20) northwest of Eginbear and the New Town; a grassy field amongst the ice
fields |
|
| There's no real need
to come here until you have the Staff of Change. |

|
| This land is vexed
by the many-headed serpent, the Orochi. Himiko, the ruler, offers
sacrifices to the Orochi to keep the village safe. When you offer to
defeat the Orochi, Himiko says that she "despises outlanders". |

get the Orochi Sword. Follow the Orochi as it flees, and fight it
one final time: |

chest to find the Purple Orb. |
|
| The New Town
(Level 19) |
|
| The field you took
the merchant to has started to grow into a large town. Eventually,
there will be two chests you can open. One contains a Luck Seed; the
other, 240 Gold. You should return here to find the Yellow Orb, as
well. |
|
| The Travel Door to
Samanao (Level 24) |
|
| You can travel to
Samanao by using either the travel door within the shrine between Romaly
and Portoga, by visiting the Shrine on the Promontory of Olivia (north of
the exit of The Cave of Norud), or the Shrine South of Greenlad.
You'll know the right place when you come to what looks like a House of
Healing. |
|
| Samanao (Level 27)
west of the travel door exit |
|
| One of the first
things you may notice in Samanao is the funeral of Baranao, a merchant who
was put to death for bad-mouthing the king. Something is definitely
wrong, but the guards won't let you inside the castle. Use the
service entrance (at the east side) to sneak into the castle. When
you try to speak to the king, he throws you in jail. Use the Final
Key to escape, speaking to the prisoners as you search for a secret
exit. You should see the real king on your way out. |

his true form: |
|
Boss Troll |
|
HP: 320 |
| With the best
equipment money can buy, and using Bikill, this boss will be easy to
defeat. Search the treasure chest to get the Staff of Change, then
return to the Hidden Village of Elves, where you can use the staff to
assume the form of dwarves to buy Wizard Rings. Now go visit the old
man who lives in Greenlad and exchange the staff for the Sailor's Thigh
Bone. Now you can search for the Phantom Ship, but you may want to
visit The Navel of the Earth first. |
|

Sail upstream (you may want to visit the shrine at the mouth of the river
as well; the Leaf of World Tree can be found at the center of four
mountains, just east of this river), until you are pushed back by the voice of Olivia. Use the
Locket of Love, break the curse, and continue on to the Shrine Jail.
Find the Sword of Gaia by searching the area near Simon's corpse.
Take the sword to the volcano (southwest of Assaram, east of Isis), and
throw it into the crater. |
|
| The Cave of
Necrogond (Level 32) |
|
