Dragon Quest V was the
first Dragon Quest made for the Super Famicom (the Japanese version of the
SNES). The opening shows a baby being born (the hero), crown prince
of the country of Glanvania. The hero starts as a young child
journeying with his father, Papas, looking for their mother/wife, Martha,
who disappeared shortly after the birth of the hero.
The storyline follows the hero as he grows up, marries, and starts a family of his own, all the while searching for his mother, and the legendary hero. New elements include a flying carpet, a flying castle, recruiting monsters for your group, riding a dragon, slime races at the casino, and some time travel. |
